Rutgers Baseball vs Seton Hall

Just looked at the seton hall schedule. They were 14-30 coming into todays game. Looks like they have played a challenging ooc schedule.

coming off a sweep on the road and a massive series coming up at home, think we rested our pitchers? Meanwhile it was SHU’s Super Bowl by the crowd and given their record and our national attention? Saw this one coming already, so was ok with it. It’s clear that we’re trying to catch lightning in a bottle and do the unthinkable, win the Big Ten. We don’t have the depth to do it but if we are to pull off a miracle this season there have to be some sacrifices. I’m totally fine with this

Today was not indicative of this team but it was not totally unexpected. As far as RU not having enough depth to win the B1G , I think we have enough hitting , fielding however probably a bit short on dominant arms. If you have two above average pitchers as starters it makes a short series winnable. We’ll get a better idea on the weekend if rain doesn’t cause an issue. Right now I think we can make the final of the B1G simply because this team has no quit in it. Next year we need to toughen up the OOC schedule.? It will not be a cakewalk though to win it.

We did not rest our pitchers. Just a bad day.

We walked way too many guys and we hit many balls hard but right at fielders. Shu took advantage getting a key double, a home run and a triple with men on. We left too many guys on base and the walks and hit batters came back to bite us. SHU was the better team today. Hopefully we will play well against Maryland this weekend.

Seton Hall got two huge hits with the bases loaded. When something like that happens, you're chances of winning are almost nil

It’s been a great season so far and more than anyone here expected. Just a little disappointed because I hate to see us lose against both Princeton and Seton Hall in the same year. It may be a good thing going into this Maryland series.

That’s Rutgers ,Henry. You’ve been around long enough to know.

That is exactly why it is a good thing to temper our expectations going forward . Even very good teams play games like today. The program is on a path of returning to our better years under coach Fred Hill Sr.

Also it is unfortunate we don't play each other in men and women soccer, women BB and women volleyball I think it would be fun for both fan bases .

Also in women BB our coach wanted to play RU but Stringer wanted no part of it. Hopefully that will change with your new coach who ever that may be.

No reason to contemplate, mull over or even reflect upon.
Turn the music on and forget about a mid-week laugher/stinker.
Get ready for the weekend.
