Rule #1 - if you don't watch, be quiet. NJIT was red hot on 3"s. It can happen with any team regardless of the name on the front of the jersey.
Hah! This is a cup cake game, play good D on the perimeter and don't let them take open 3's. They also struggled with Manhattan and Cornell, excuses for a team that was 8-24 last year and 2-16 in conference. So what's your prediction for their record this season?
My prediction is you did not watch any of the games but you are great at looking at box scores and picking up one line from an article.

I don't think any RU WBB fan expects a winning season and if the team plays well in most games the season won't be "looong" at all, but one that gives hope for the future and the long season will be more games because of making the Dance and playing well in it
For now most RU WBB fans just want to see a team that's competitive and gives hope that the program is headed in the right direction while proving proving Quese was a good choice to lead RU WBB back to prominence

Nope, didn't watch a minute, so what impressed you so much about a low D1 team that was 12-18 last year and 4-12 in a weak conference? what Choppin has to day about it.
Obviously you made yore mind up about this years team without the benefit of seeing them play and it would be a waste of time trying to explain to you how the team seems like it might be better than last year and might start playing conference h=games more competitively is why fans like Choppin like to watch the team play .
Those who really don't support RU WBB might wonder why the RU WBB team has people supporting them and wanting to see them play because they are not winners (yet)
That's because we hope to see improvement , even if the wins against the better programs will be hard to get

I never implied a thing, you did that, and what does any of it have to do with saying It looks like a long season, and if I'm so off the mark about them struggling against poor competition why doesn't someone correct me? You're actually making the exact same point by saying "they are not winners (yet)." I want them to win too, but that has nothing to with the reality they're struggling in tune-up games against teams they should beat easily.
My first question to anyone coming on here with opinions, mostly negative. Do you watch the games?
I don't discuss a team with anyone who doesn't watch but has opinions based on "something". Watch and come back to discuss. Or, just stay away.
If anyone else asked my opinion about a game I watched on BTN+ I'll give my honest opinion.

I'll chime in as I go to all the home games. This team is definitely better than last, it will take some time to gel, that's why teams play early season games against lesser competition.
As for the NJIT game, there were 2 things that made the score look close--NJIT was red hot from 3 in the first half (both contested and uncontested) and the fact that RU missed a lot of free throws....if a reasonable amount had been made the final score would have more one sided. I don't know at this point whether free throws were an anomaly or whether that will carry into the next game.
Similar to the men's game against St Peter's last night, take the win and learn from it.
Way too early to say it's going to be a long season, I for one am encouraged by what I've seen thus far.
