Obviously know nothing about him but per his bio : is mature (older) and has played a lot of football. Fills a role vacated by Miller and Dremel in the slot of 3/4 wide packages. Others were on him as noted above. So, definitely like this pickup.
How's his fair catch technique? And as a returner
And Dremel as a returner.Nice get. Replaces Miller in the slot.
And Dremel as a returner.
I assume they are tapping into the $20m revenue share pool of money for player compensation they are slated to receive. This is a HR pickup from the Portal. There has to be some NIL being used to bring some of these kids here.
A lot less money being spent on retention this year as most of the higher rated players are graduating, so even with the same amount of NIL money they should have more to spend on portal transfersThis is a HR pickup from the Portal. Here is why these numbers can sometimes get skewed. At Rutgers- we are not going to be stealing starters from top 25 programs. So, the key is to stop your starters from being stolen by those schools. Greg is doing that. And we have a handfull each year that could easily jump up. Part 2 is that since we are not taking the top starters from top teams- we need to find those guys that are a level down who need to make the jump to being a starter in the B1G. And Greg is pulling in top players from the level below us.Wow, the last two years we can really say we've been reloading in the off-season instead of rebuilding.
