Rutgers Lax vs Brown

RU is killing it with shots on goal ... Brown's goalie is keeping them in the game with 18+ saves ... Feeling good about RU's chances!

The freshman Mullins is playing very well. He had some clutch goals in the second half today. Great job recruiting by the staff.

Just starting to follow lax.... any shot at winning the B1G this year or making the tourney?

Didn't check stats, but watching 2nd half gametracker it appeared that we more than held our own on face offs. Looked like Francisco was winning the majority. That would be huge going forward.

The B1G is ridiculously difficult. Five of the six teams are ranked. We are definitely really good but winning the conference will be tough. We have a good shot at making the tourney. Next week is huge. We play Princeton and Stony Brook in the next ten days. Our resume is pretty good so far. Hopefully we can continue to build on it

As of this posting, the B1G is the best conference in college lacrosse right now.

I was able to watch some of the game again and came away even more impressed with our D. Great on one on one match ups, very timely double and triple teams, highly aggressive and when the ball was on the turf, it was theirs.

Those kids played their hearts out.

Agree, a lot to like about this team. D is nasty and O is really tough to defend. Everyone on attack, the first two middie lines and even the D mids are all potential scoring threats with the ball in their stick. Most teams rely pretty heavily on their top 2-3 finishers and when they are off or get shut down they often struggle to put up points. We've had 7 different players with multiple goal games and a different leading scorer in 4 of 5 games. Just need to continue to improve at the f/o X and this team could go very far despite missing some key pieces on O.

Can't help but think how good this team will be in 18 reading that rbled. We lose some at the midfield with George (who has been playing great) graduating, along with Groel on D and Murphy at attack, but gain two difference makers in AC and Traz. With the guys getting experience who are playing this year, sky is the limit.

That's 18 though. This team has so much to play for. Friday is now a massive game, as they all seem to be moving forward. SB is hard to figure out. Played Brown to a 25-17 game and a tight low scoring one against Fairfield. I am sure it won't be overlooked in our locker room that this is the team that smashed us last year by 10 goals.

I am guessing this is going to be an up and down affair, not too dissimilar to the Brown game.

Have to figure this game and Princeton were circled on the calendar the minute the schedule came out in the fall. Both teams caused us pain last year, and had we split those 2 games instead of losing both we probably were playing in May Madness last spring. I think we will be motivated to dish out some payback for both Friday night and next week vs Princeton.

Yep. Going to be a very key time for the squad. Big game Friday, immediate turn around Tuesday with another big game. I believe Princeton has a cakewalk Sat. which will leave them a little less time to prepare for us, but will likely afford them a chance to be able to play much of their roster. In my mind it's always tough going from one very weak opponent one day to a very strong one the next, so hopefully that favors us.

Fortunately we get both teams at home where we are now on an 11 game winning streak.

If we win both we will be 9-0 and in the Top 5 when we enter the B1G Gauntlet at Hopkins at the end of March. NJIT is no threat at all, and UDel while a respectable program, should be one we have our way with even on the road.

One at a time baby. Already pumped for Friday.

The B1G as a whole is solid this year though. Could get 4 teams in the tourney.
