Assuming Rutgers remains a top 40 team and hit the top 25 once or twice this year, we will be a final 2 pick.

Also I see the regular signing period for basketball is in April which means a late season run in the B10 tourney and a possible NCAA / NIT win or 2 can really help RU

The signing of Cliff O would be equivalent to Rutgers getting to the final 8 in March . Sure it’s possible but , if he were going to pull the trigger and send a message , B1G O would have done it already. Rutgers has been down this path many times before .Disappointment still lingers over those past just missed players. RU needs more than just relationships with coaches and players on the team. Pretty certain Cliff has the same with the other finalists. The sad part is UConn is still in it...Oh wait !!!!...another Hurley I forgot ? The connections of the Hurley’s is a very big thing in all of this.
