Since you guys now have a Medical School, I thought you might like to know that US News Best Medical Schools-Research (2018) have ranked both Rutgers Newark and Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick with a ranking of #73.

Law school ranking is usually mentioned but not the Medical School.

HAIL TO PITT!!!!

Why doesn't rutgers merge the two medical schools like it did with the law schools? Maybe the combined entity would see a comparable jump in ranking

Both NJ Medical School and RWJ are tied at #73?

Yes for the Research aspect of Medical School Rankings by US News.

US News also has another ranking for Medical Schools which rank schools as Primary Care Medical Schools.

In the US News Medical School- Primary Care Ranking, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson received a ranking of #88.

What was a little bit surprising to me was that Rowen Medical School received a Primary Care Ranking of #51 by US News (2018).

HAIL TO PITT!!!!

UMDNJ was such a disaster. There is no reason why our rankings shouldn't be half of what they are.

From what I understand from RWJ alums, RWJ has a better rep than Newark. And I believe Newark's financial situation is different. I think they are more tied to the political issues that UMDNJ dealt with versus RWJ.

Rowan's was the old Stratford School of Osteopathic Medicine IIRC. Like most DO schools, had little to no research and focused on primary care. Was always well regarded.
