Rutgers Men's Soccer On The Road At No. 5 Michigan State

Donigan may stick around a little longer due to the Ash disaster. May need to start stashing buyout money for FB, and can't spend on a new soccer coach.

Rutgers big ten experiment is kind of a fail so far. Soccer is one sport (granted it is Olympic and not high revenue) that could actually succeed though. So far behind due to these last Donigan years though that now it’s like a more immediate concern to get the team back into NJ/NY/PA relevance in terms of recruiting and reputation. Big ten relevance is like a far off dream. Sad.

It is beyond imagination that in one of the densest areas in the country for soccer talent that RU cannot field a competitive men's team.

If I had his results at my job ... I’d be collecting unemployment.

This is what happens when you let someone stay longer than you should. This is what we do at Rutgers. All because we wouldn't eat 1 year of a contract. So we as fans stop caring until someone else is hired.

I went to the Michigan game and I had no idea what we were trying to do. We are a very poorly coached team. It's a shame because this is a once proud program.

If they can’t beat Ohio state, then fire Donigan on the spot. I mean he’s outstayed his time anyhow but OSU has a record close to Rutgers futility. Should be a decent measure of how the team can play when at least matched up vs another failing squad.

The recruit locally paradigm is Fool’s Gold. Has not worked in decades and generations. Get the best players who want to compete in the Big Ten. NJ’s elite athletes and their families and sycophants have never embraced Rutgers. Most elite NJ athletes simply list their interest in Rutgers as a recruit as a courtesy.

Awesome second Half. Won 3-2... It definitely does not look like kids quit. Good celebration after the OT win.
