Devils play at 7pm that night.
This was a noon game from the moment the date was announced.

Is everyone buying through ticketmaster or waiting to see if we can buy through Rutgers?

I texted my ticket rep but haven't heard back yet.

No one from Rutgers seems to be responding. I called a couple times.. my brother in law called a couple times. Great job by the ticket office....

My rep said to order through Ticketmaster, they aren't taking orders like they've done for the past in these neutral site games.

Rutgers will get the bench in front of Section 9.

Based on the seat map on Ticketmaster with just corners available and behind the basket, I'm guessing they gave the good seats to the schools??? Yet no word from Rutgers.

Just gonna wait to buy.

Yep. Tix will definitely be available to STHs based on what's available on Ticketmaster.
I wouldn't be so sure - I had 500 people in front of me on the queue and some seats were available in section 8. I went to buy seats in section 16 and someone else snagged them before I could even click the icon on the map. I'm a YA STH and haven't heard a peep from RU.

There's just no way those sections sold out instantly for a 12pm game right before Christmas in Newark. Our crowd against Miss St there last year was pretty bad.

That was the most bizarre ticket experience ever.

1500 people supposedly in front of me in the queue at the start , but I quickly got in only to find about 20 center court tickets, 20 in the "Princeton section" and tons behind the baskets. Nothing else.

Took the center court and am looking forward to the game.

Didn't have the hype last year compared to this year.

There were tix in those middle sections. They were $150 a seat, so IDK about them holding out for STH.
They only had two random rows towards the back of section 8. Nothing at all in 9 or 10. For you guys saying you had hundreds of people ahead of you, I had 41. Also I don't trust ticketmaster at all lol.

Guess we'll see

Website said that you cannot join queue on multiple devices, that it had a bot detection system, etc... but whats really stopping a broker from gaming the system and buying up blocks of tickets? When I bought mine it seemed like you could purchase however many you could click on.

8 ticket limit per Ticketmaster

I just refreshed and they added entire sections of new inventory for $75, which did not show up from 2:00-2:30

I got mine in section 12. Very disappointed to find limited availability at 2:10, but now section 10 is available with lots available.

There has to be a hold back for the schools, but the schools probably don't know how may.

Family of 5 here and was looking at 500 plus fees for 5 tickets in crappy section. What a scam. I am going to wait this out. Last year there were cheap seats on seatgeek a few days before the game.

I have 4 in section 12. they were 50. I would eat the fees and sell to you. then I could go buy in section 10. You would have to buy the one extra, which I checked the site and its available. email me, bwrlaw at yahoo.com

Ticketmaster plays these games where they release some shitty seats first at times, see how those go saleswise, then they have better seats for more with dynamic pricing, etc.

Best bet in these instances just will always wait and buy on the secondary market, or go back in after the initial on sale to see what’s available

Obviously varies based on the opponent, matchup, side of the arena, etc., but for a game against Princeton a few days before Christmas in Newark starting at noon, I can’t see more than 12 K in the house, leaving about 6000 open

Soon as I realized shenanigans decided will wait and buy late off market. Fuk Tickmaster.

Folks, don’t forget you can get $20 off for all home football and basketball games on Seat Geek with Richies promo. Use code RUTGERSRIVALS. Just set up a new account each game.
