The men's soccer team lost another tough one to Penn State in OT 3-2
The team seems to have the talent to hang with many of the good teams on the schedule but inexplicably plays poorly against teams like Princeton and NJIT.
At 0-12-2 I give the kids the credit for playing tough at PSU.

I have to think Donigan has been given his walking papers already and will be gone next week after the season ends.

Mental thing with those "WTF" losses following tough, tight games, against B1G competition. No doubt. Awful. I'm afraid to reach out to Danny because I know how much this is killing him right now.

If Donigan is gone, Hobbs needs to reach out to Brendan Nash, the head coach at Bucknell. Jersey guy, wins at a program with no scholarships against teams that do have them, team constantly over achieves. Would kill it at Rutgers.

This year has obviously been a disaster but some of the injured and ineligible should return next year and the team will be much stronger. In looking at the roster, it's going to be all about recruiting for the staff in the next two years.
Greczek, Kemerer and Morris are graduating this year.
Next year the team loses

Guzman (PDA Academy Team Captain)
Spenser Hambleton if he comes back (PDA Academy Team)
Ryan Peterson (PDA Academy Team)
Sa ( NY RB Captain)
Ethan Decker (NY RB)
Dante Perez (NY RB)
Jason Wright (All American)
Miles Hacket (Second leading scorer last year)

Everyone of these players is an impact player. Peterson,Guzmon,Decker, and Sa were all key players on National Championship teams.
Jason was an All American
Donigans next two classes have to be exceptionally strong or Rutgers will a difficult time after next year
At this point I have not seen a verbal of significance but it is early.

Hobbs better do this firing swiftly. I don't want to hear about this one is hurt or that one. We have no depth, no recruits coming in. We need someone to bring this program back to where it should be a top ten contender.

Agreed. Any thoughts on who a potential replacement would be?

I don't know but I have a good friend who has been one of the top. Coaches in north jersey for the past 30 years in high school I will pick his brain and see if there any names he knows of
