Of all the coaches we had on our radar, excepting Schiano, I think Ash will adapt and improve upon the fundamental identity of Rutgers (i.e. Believe, Chop, Family) with the most credibility. His interviews about how he has adapted his coaching philosophy by being a student of the game were quite refreshing. Being able to work hard and learn and constantly improve (without resorting to excuses for fails), will be something different and new for us. I am hoping he can bring in two high level names for OC and DC. Clearly, we have the money now - no excuses. I also hope he will be selective in picking out the best talent from the current staff to bridge us. I think we have some very good young position coaches that can grow with the right experience at the top. EJ is a must keep.
p.s. These last couple of days have been quite a ride. I'm still not over Mullen but I'm working on it. Time to go All In on Ash.
