Women's golf travels to University Park to compete in the Nittany Lion Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 21-22, on the Penn State Blue Course. The Scarlet Knights will make their fifth consecutive appearance at the tournament and will work toward another strong showing after placing third in the event last year.
Women's golf is fourth with a 598 (298-300) after the first two rounds of the 12-team Nittany Lion Invitational, played Saturday on the Penn State Blue Course. Senior Carrie-Ann Lee carded a team-best 145 (73-72) to enter Sunday's final round tied for sixth in the 72-player field.
"I struggled today with my accuracy off the tee, but I was able to manage myself around the course and minimize my mistakes," said Lee. "I tried to be very patient today, and tomorrow I'll look to create more chances for birdie."

"This wasn't the finish we were looking for when we started the weekend, but I did see some better stretches of golf today," said head coach Kari Williams. "Ana (Cortes) bounced back and played her final eight holes one under par. Eun Won (Park) found more consistency in her game today and was able to hole a few more putts. And overall, Carrie-Ann (Lee) put together another strong event to lead the team."
