Absolute annihilation of Fordham today, 5-0. Tennessee will be a challenge as they are ranked. Should be a great OOC matchup.
Let’s hope the guys coach can have a fairly easy transition from a small program at Fordham to the Big Ten. He certainly brought in a lot of new kids from all over.
Dominated today. Much, much sharper than last game. Nneka Monome with a hat trick. Amirah Ali with a penalty shot goal after being taken down in the box. LaPlant with a beautiful through ball setting it up. Tierney Wiltshire with a goal after a Taylor Alymer cross from along the goal line. Ali shared the ball very well. She assisted on two of Monome's goals. We had a ton of pressure on Fordham & finally broke them down & wore them down.
Only gave Fordham one shot & it was a quality chance that Meg McClelland came out to punch away. Plenty of girls in off the bench & many played very well. Much better officiated game. Perhaps some more thoughts tomorrow. Out of gas now.

Agree was out but watched about half the game on replay but domination is the word as mentioned above.
Also for those on Instagram take a look at the Stanford women’s soccer as they beat Penn State the other night and look at the two goals scored by Caterina Macario. Wow!!
Men tied UConn, 2-2 in a preseason game. UConn is RVs. Wonder how they did vs Monmouth in last night's scrimmage.
Men lost 1-0 to Monmouth last night. Supposedly didn't look that great, but I didn't see it with my own eyes. We'll see for real soon enough.
Junior Nneka Moneme registered a hat trick to help lift RV/19 Rutgers women's soccer to a 5-0 shutout of Fordham on Sunday afternoon. The Scarlet Knights improved to 2-0 on the season, as senior Tiernny Wiltshire and junior Amirah Ali also joined in on the scoring. Sophomore Meagan McClelland registered her first shutout of the year and ninth of her career in the win.

LOL you guys are going to crack me up when men’s soccer start. Don’t expect miracles overnight.
The guy asked about the men's game against Monmouth. I answered with the most basic information.I'm not sure what you're taking offense to.
R looked very good! Very few turnovers, connecting on passes, a lot of combination play, good off the ball movement, organized, less playing back, more composure. Team was energetic, and played with a better sense of urgency. Need to clean up some little things, still miss some opportunities that should not be misses arrant passes in the final 3rd, amd especially restarts and corners, ugly! Need to keep it in perspective, this was against Fordham. Will get tested Thursday and need to! From and offensive perspective, Nneka with a hat trick on 3 fairly easy goals, good finishing, on several through balls, just no defense to speak of when we had space. Amirah with a PK, had a chance to finish before the collision and Tierny cleans up a rebound off the keeper, need to do a better job with the first pass here, was right to the keeper. To me one of the most important stats, and its amazing she hasn't scored yet, although she was clearly on sides on the goal that was taken away, LaPlant sits 4th in All of D1 women's soccer for shots per game and Amirah sits at 7th, that's a very good sign that these 2 are getting shots, R is getting chances to score!!!!, just to need the flood gates to open every game....its early in the season. Once the rust wears off, I think we will see an offense like we have not seen from R in quite some time. Need to improve the timeliness of decision making, crisp up some of the setup passes and finish when they should. Defense was solid.
On Thursday, Tennessee defeated Fordham 3-1 in Knoxville.

Not taking offense. Just waiting for the bashing of the new coach to begin by anybody who expects miracles overnight. Should be funny.
