"Rutgersfan.com"- long lost tailgater returning

Hey Tailgaters!

I was tailgating with "RutgersFan.com" members back in the early mid-2000's. I'm making the return to N.J./ Rutgers for the opener. I need some idea what the tailgate situation is? Any Rutgersfan.com members left? Suggestions on which tailgate parties to join. All feedback is welcome. Visiting from Florida...i'm ready to get the "R. U. Ready to Tailgate?" underway for 2015.

I stopped by a couple of the Rutgersfan tailgates, back in the day. They were pretty good, but evaporated after the TOS split, it seemed.

We're in Blue, you're welcome to stop by. I'll have to refer you to @MrsScrew, who is the Official Guest Services Coordinator for our group.
 
oh, cool, I have a new title! does it come with a sash or a crown? I really think I need a crown...

Mr Regulator, you're good friends with Psycho if I remember correctly. Glad to see you returning for a game and hope that you, and Psycho are doing well.

Other than that, don't have much more info since I am now in California and only made it back for the Michigan game last year. I do know that many of the original Rutgersfan tailgaters are now gathering in Blue but it is a smaller group than when we were able to take over the entire front corner of yellow.

I'm reliving my Glory years! First of all thank you for the responses. Yes...Psycho is in Georgia now. We have a little rivalry with the Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs...but I can't seem to ever completely give up on Rutgers! Good to hear from you Dave! Hope all is well. We did have an awesome spot...good times..good times.
Mrs. Screw...lI"d be interested in swinging by. I miss my Rutgers tailgating.RU4real..thanks for the info. I'm bringing my brother who hasn't attended a RU game yet. i'll keep a watch for both your posts as we get closer. Definitely keep me in the loop!

Yes, still a season ticket holder for the last 36 or so years. My brother, who tailgated with me, has moved out to PA and got married so he
doesn't come to the games any more. It's just my wife and I until the temps get too cold then my son takes her place. Tailgates are not the same. They're toned down a lot for us since the Scarlet Lot parking is no longer 'park anywhere you want'. We lost our spot along Sutphan Rd that afforded us free space to fire up the grill and we also lost a few other tailgaters to the big tailgate in the sky.
Hope to see you at the game when you come up.
