Based on pure preseason rankings (no home away bias), Massey has six ranked higher the RU and six ranked below us while Sagarin has 4 ranked higher and 8 ranked lower. In both we are the lowest in the BIG so according to their computers Massey says we end with 7 wins and Sagarin says 9 once we include Malloy. Looks like, and based on last year it makes sense, expectations are low, very low. Hopefully this team can be a big surprise this year.

But aren't Massey and Sagarin basing that on last year's team performance? It won't be until January they are reflective of this year's team.
9-4 OOC is a fair baseline, with a decent possibility of going anywhere from 7-6 to 10-3. Some people don't want to believe that we will underperform, but it is a possibility.
agree, the program has gone 7-40 over its last 47 games and I believe has lost something like 33 of its last 34 game against Big 10 opponents. Its going to take time even with the incoming talent
