Sam deserves his own thread today. His tough running was one reason we got the W today. Here's hoping he stays healthy to really give us that two headed rushing attack this season. Congrats, sir!
He has been injuredHe was way under used

Our power run game isn’t as good as last year. That’s the trade off. Need to get more fades to Strong.Passing in that situation could also be read as a lack of confidence in our OLine. Our identity is a smash mouth run first team. We should’ve run the ball there and run Sam. He’s a big back who always falls forward and is rarely stuffed.

I agree. Isn't it the same five guys as last year on the O-line ? And the same outstanding RB as last year ?
I jumped out of my seat at home when he trucked that poor bastard on the goal line.
The missing piece is KM as the lead blocker on QB power. KM is an excellent blocker.I agree. Isn't it the same five guys as last year on the O-line ? And the same outstanding RB as last year ?
Do we really miss Langan's blocking that much ?

Solid D? Run D? Not according to stats.I think we are overreacting to yesterday’s rushing performance. We had 140 yards and did what we needed to against a solid D on the road.
It was solid yesterday for the reasons discussed in the "My thoughts" thread.Solid D? Run D? Not according to stats.
We have been over that issue before. They gave up some big runs in previous games, some in garbage time with second units that skewed the stats.Solid D? Run D? Not according to stats.
Unfortunately many look at stats without any context and arrive at edumacated guesses about them. 😎 They are smarter than all of us who actually pay attention to the games. We have been over that issue before. They gave up some big runs in previous games, some in garbage time with second units that skewed the stats.
We lost Dunlap this year.I agree. Isn't it the same five guys as last year on the O-line ? And the same outstanding RB as last year ?

In the past had run to straight up for me, but ran lower & behind his pads yesterday. He ran like Jim Brown
So if you take away the big runs they gave up, their run D is solid? Got it. No sure which game had a lot of garbage time. They never really took control of any game until middle of Q4.We have been over that issue before. Never threatened in their two wins. We ran effectively enough. So if you take away the big runs they gave up, their run D is solid? Got it. No sure which game had a lot of garbage time. They never really took control of any game until middle of Q4.

Kirk made a mistake?More likely may BE mistake Greg'spart. Not happy with play callingThink Kirk made a mistake not riding him more in the 2nd half when Kyle wasn't as effective against their run blitz but Sam was giving them massive trouble.
Didn’t we get a sought after Guard in the Transfer Portal ?Curtis Dunlap was better at RG than KA, doe.
This. It’s a long season. We need Brown healthy. He has been injured
