Sarah Baumgartner promoted to Deputy Director of Athletics

I don't know her, either, but she's gotten a lot of positive comments for the job she's doing.

She will be an AD somewhere at some point. Need to hold on to her for as long as we can.

Sounds like she will be . But doesn't Rutgers have to field a good athletic program first ? I would think if football and men's basketball are successful then she will be hired elsewhere faster .

Don't really know her. Is this a good thing or bad thing?

Its a great thing. Sarah is awesome & has had such positive enthusiasm since she got here. I don't know anyone who has interacted with her who has not instantly loved her.
She is around the Scarlet Walk before very game and has made more than one appearance at my tailgates.

congrats to Sarah, she has done an excellent job since she was hired and has been a tireless worker and promoter of RU athletics

She has a 10-person team?

There are ten people on the payroll just to raise athletics funds? I wasn't aware of it working that way.

"We're doing a lot of great things, but there's areas that need to be a lot more aligned and more collaborative and Pat and I both saw that. So it's an opportunity to help, and to serve, and just make a broader impact. I'm humbled, I'm honored, but I'm just so elated."

"To earn Pat's respect, trust and confidence to lead our external teams is humbling,'' Baumgartner said. "I have the utmost respect for Pat — he is a fantastic leader and even better person. He has a clear vision and culture that he wants to implement. I will work with urgency, passion and a relentless effort to execute on his vision with the goal to build a championship culture, both internally and externally.''

And she's cute as hell has the whitest teeth in the world and is always energetic and 100% behind Rutgers Sports. And she let's me hug her hello.

We're doing better and better in that department.

Once the two big ones start to make noise it will make her job even easier.

A good Julie hire.

Very strangely I had just been told that her "compatriot"/friend on the staff made more than she did-while Sarah seems to have a "higher" position.

Only met Sarah once but she is cute in both the professional sense AND cute looks wise. I believe she was dressed in a dress and not a scarlet type uniform. Got a nice smile back and believe I thought while I prefer 19-30+ theoretically (no monies for women nowadays) she'd be a rare exception to that rule.

Forget what she looks like but she was more cute than, say, the blonde "bombshell" that a lot of guys knew and know on this board who was the hottie (met her on job and wound up turning her down to work out before her mom got sick and she left that summer job. Had tickets for her favorite artist Billy Joel the next workday my luck..) that was popular at Cook in the class before me (1984). However the latter also studiously cute and about a 4.0 premed.

While id love to meet Sarah again I really hope to meet my ex "neighbor" whose gonna be a household name in a few years and is already a star on R soccer team. I can't believe how many female soccer stars I missed in school-Mia Hamm and a few others by about a year...

I gotta ask. Did you get up early to post that or did you stay up late to post that?
