Sarge predicts Rutgers to finish...

Rutgers has to beat at least one elite BIG team. It has to beat either Michigan or Iowa.

I liked it

Howard had tryouts yesterday? lol

8-4 is just as possible as the gloom and doom 3 and 4 win predictions. 6 wins: Minnesota, Indiana, Illinois, Maryland, Howard, and New Mexico. Penn State is another possible win, and I still think Washington is not #14 good. Like he said, they were 4-6 until winning 3 games to end the year

I wear my Scarlet-colored glasses every day of the year, but I will be happy with 5-7. Dancing in the street if we go 6-6--I'm sorry, but I have seen enough of Laviano. How bad are Retting,Allen,Dare,Resigno (sp),etc.? Hope I am wrong.

Believe years ago we beat a top 5 South Florida team that many said was way over rated. Hoping Washington is the same

Possible? Yes. "just as possible"? Sorry, but not exactly. You're literally giving us every"swing" game (IU, Ill, Minny, Maryland) plus an upset of a likely ranked opponent and PSU. That makes it "as possible" as 2-10 and is is a hell of a lot to ask for this year my friend. Ash would literally receive COTY votes in the B1G. Would be awesome, however, so don't get me wrong!

This month Sarge gets to play good cop. Probably Dunleavey turn for the barrel. Editor Manahan probably calls those shots. Politi gets to be the fair weather fan, although i heard he was in Lochte's get away car in Rio

I think 8-4 is possible, but it's probably the realistic ceiling for this team.

I'm always the optimist! Must be the Ohio water.

2007 they were #2, but at least at the time USF won some games. Washington is getting all this hype because they beat Oregon St, Washington St, and So. Miss to end 2015? Tough game regardless of the spread but 27? I thought opening line was a bit much.

An old classic being made into a new one

Staring Sarge as Cheech and Politi as Chong

Ash for Coach of the Year would be nice!

BTW, RutgersAl would be predicting 12-0

It's not unusual for college teams to have tryouts. Generally those who are chosen are for walk-on spots and mostly practice squad players. I'd be surprised if Rutgers hasn't done this in the past.

RU has tryouts too. You also can't have them until school starts, which is the reason for the late timing.

Every school has tryouts for walk-ons. It appears that some people here have no clue how college football works.

The kid up the street for me kicked for Towson, he was maybe the best kicker in NJ his senior year, and actually went to RU, Pitt and a few other schools to tryout in the Spring and summer, he was offered preferred walk ons from the D1 schools, so wound up taking a full ride from Stony Brook, kicked there for a year or 2, hated the Special teams coach and transferred to Towson. Guess what happens, Towson hired that Special Teams coach the year after, lol.

But yeah, D1 schools have 'de facto' try outs.
