The defense won the day and has the upper hand on the offense. The offense won the first scrimmage but today the defense had their redemption. The d-line were creating a lot of havoc and Quanzell Lambert had a very good scrimmage. He was tough to handle. The d-line all contributed to some QB sacks.
At quarterback, Chris Laviano had a rough day and did not fare very well at all. He threw one long TD pass but that was about his only highlight.
Hayden Rettig, on the other hand, had a very solid day. He may have pulled even with Laviano in the QB competition. He had some TD passes on the day, including a bomb.
Carlton Agudosi had the best day of any of the wide receivers, hauling in a few TD catches. The staff is also utilizing his size advantage on fade routes. Dre Patton and Janarion Grant were decent today , but Agudosi was the star of the receivers today.
Rettig took about half his reps with the first team offense.
Gio Rescigno had a better scrimmage than how he showed himself last week. He had some decent throws and runs with the second-team offense.
Linebacker is still a question mark as there are guys being rotated in and out.
I mentioned in another thread that JPO, Hamilton, Nelson, Sneed and Patton were the players who were knighted.
Vince Okruch said afterward that Nick Arch is the No.1 TE slightly ahead of Matt Flanagan followed by Chares Scarff.
JJ Denman was limited today and Manny Taylor was on crutches forcing Jacquis Webb into more action.
