i have to say, I had hoped that he would go out to Northern Iowa and gain some level of redemption. While not bad he seemes to have settled in as 3/4th back on the team rushing for about 230 yrds, on 58 carries in 12 games. Not stunning by any imagination.

That said you can catch him in the second round of the FCS playoffs on ESPN3 tonight at 9pm if your are intereted.

Great kid, bright, wishing him the best

I'll be turning in.

He took a major "chance" coming to RU and we all appreciate it.

You'll be a more respected man when living around NJ for the rest of your life unlike the guys who left and came back to settle down.

I hope to be at Providence Park in person to watch Savon and UNI take on the Vikings. I live down the block from Portland State and after this year's opening game upset of WSU ( and we know who they beat in their next game), I've followed the team with more interest. They're not the Ducks, but the new coach has injected some life in a moribund program. Coaching matters.

How did he turn out to be so bad.

Come on, was this really needed? Recruiting is an inexact science. Nobody can predict how a high school football players' talent will translate at the college level. Even the millions of dollars spent by NFL teams can't predict college football players' ability at the NFL level.

Savon did his best and most importantly earned his Rutgers degree.

He doesn't really play very much, and UNI is an elite FCS rushing team. Their QB has over 1,000 yards rushing and they average 228.0 as a team per game. They're actually a 7.5 point favorite on the road against a team with 2 FBS victories this year (8-4 Wazzu, and 66-7 over North Texas).

There's an 80% chance of rain during the game and it kicks off at 9:00 central Iowa time.

UNI won 29-17. One of their backs ran for 207 yards, not Huggins. If he played, he didn't do anything that made it into the game recap. Now UNI plays the defending national champs in the next round. Still time.
