Something absolutely positive from yesterday was the new Senior Day Version of the Scarlet Walk. Player families greeted their sons as they got off the bus & walked down the walk with them, holding a sign with the player name, and in some cases, photo montages &/or posters of the players.

It. Was. FANTASTIC.

The players were all smiles, shaking hands, hugging fans they knew. Aaron Lewis pushed his grandma (?) in her wheelchair down the walk, Dymere Miller carried his daughter in his arms. The families were SO excited walking, grinning from ear to ear, high fiving fans. It was truly great to see & be part of. I have to admit I got a little emotional watching it unfold. I was told this is how it's going to be done going forward. Mark your calendars because it's something not to be missed.

Looked good, but it felt odd doing nothing in the stadium pregame.

I thought this was a terrible idea. Players really should be recognized in the stadium because it hits different. It’s wonderful for them to hear the stadium cheers of the fanbase
