This is not a save Flood thread but rather a fact based post about the fans and our coaches. Flood made good money. I will shed no tears for him. But I'm not he whiny finger pointing type either so even if I want him out nobody will know it.
From 2001 -2004 a lot of fans hated Schiano and wanted him out. I defended him because we already cut through too many coaches too fast after Burns. I wanted stability and I was right I thank you very much.
In 2005 many fans were on the Schiano bandwagon but the boards still had our usual fans who hated everything about him. In 2006 those fans shut up for exactly one year. In 2007 they were back on his case and looking for his head. In 2010 even after the sad Legrand issue so many of our "fans" wanted him gone.
I'm not saying Flood can turn this around. I don't know if he can or cannot. I think ours fans need to look inside themselves and decide what it takes to build a program. The first thing that we need to do is be supportive. Our fans sucked vs Nebraska. Their fans made more noise on 3rd downs. We did a great job vs WSU and MSU and the team played inspired Football. Saturday they played flat.
Control what you can control. Be a good fan of these kids who work their a$$es off year round. That is all we can control. Rooting for your team to lose so Flood gets fired it about the dumbest thing you can do. RU dumb?
