The passing game flourished as each QB put up solid numbers. I thought Hayden Rettig had the better day. His only two incompletions came on a drop and the other was a heave in the two minute drill as the clock was closing in on zeros. The bulk of Chris Laviano's yardage came on a 60-yard TD pass to Andre Patton in which he toasted a defender and was wide open. The running game struggled to gain much yards as the defensive line was continually getting into the backfield. JPO caught my eye as did Kaiwan Lewis and Steve Longa on defense. Myles Nash was also active. Bless Austin was also decent at corner and Dre Boggs came onto replace Isaiah Wharton in the starting lineup as the day went on. After the scrimmage, an alarm was going of so there will be no footage of the Flood videoas it was difficult to hear him. However, he acknowledged that a decision on the starting QB could be pushed back. He wants to watch the film and discuss it with the staff before making any comments. He also told me that he is not worried about Kyle Fedrico even though he struggled again today. Flood also said it was 134 degrees at one point on the turf...more to come.
