Looks like our pitchers still have trouble striking batters out. But we managed 13 times ourselves.
Come on ... too early in the season for a White Flag comment like this. When hasn’t it been a big build?
WSU RPI is 89. They were 11-42-1 last year. They were 3-26-1 in the PAC12 and predicted to finish at the bottom again.

WSU has 4 wins and Zach Mills has three of them. They seem to be similar to us at this point.
Really tough series for RU so far. Through 15 total innings, 23 batters have struck out. The top four in the batting order are two for 27. Lots of errors etc. Through six innings in this game, they’ve had seven at bats with runners in scoring position — only one run has scored thanks to an infield hit. Let’s pick it up guys!

Maybe it's a carry over from the KU FB game. Can't play west of the Mississippi curse.
28 strikeouts in two games is not pretty, especially when a number of them came with runners in scoring position and less than two out. I am predicting a break out tomorrow with a great outing from our Sunday pitcher to the salvage the last game.
Been a rough Spring for baseball and lacrosse. Ouch! Baseball being a punching bag for Miami at the start of every season doesn’t help things. BTW, the Washington State baseball coach has been around the block despite being only 47 years old. Very solid and impressive background.

Owens just got here. Recruiting has not been very good since Hill retired. Give him a chance to bring in players
If geography is the issue, it’s related to recruiting, not where the school is located or where the games are played.
My guess is that the improvement will start this year. It’s just been a real rough two games. I am thinking that the lineup will be significantly more productive.
1 of 2 is better than none of 3. So far very little power in our bats, but maybe that will change.
Not a lot of power, but still more than the prior two years.
I believe the annual Miami series has ended so no further worries there as long as it's not replaced by someone like Vanderbilt lol.
