You just did. This sounds good. I’d love to be able to tell NJ Hawk I was premature to worry about Shaq Carter based on his JUCO boxscores

Interesting to hear. I thought ru going after him as a juco was to add a impactful piece right away given just two years. He's not ready for primetime...FTs are a worry but I believe he will be s solid defender to slow guys down and be a complimentary scorer as well. I think most teams in ACC B1G PAC12 etc have 1 Carter on their team. RU just adds pieces to catch up and Carter will be fine at RU

Fans in most cases only measure impact by shooting/scoring so this is addressing those that only look there....Carter is a must have, key recruit in 20+ B1G games where defense and rebounds are essential...I value getting stops on defense and limiting teams to one shot, so averaging 16 rebounds in last 2 games and 8-10 rebounds in JUCO was minimized by some fans here saying he would not average 8 boards a game at RU...
Every recruit that buys in and is coachable with Carter's upside, is huge...he is the key recruit in this class...you absolutely can't win in this league running and running 3s, without taking care of the glass....Carter, Doorson, Eugene and Doucoure will help keep teams off the glass.
Eugene and Baker, statisticly, are not good defensive rebounders. If Sanders is not back we lose a real good defensive rebounder out of the guard spot. there will be a huge need for someone who goes after defensive rebounds.
But Sanders became a *much* better defensive rebounder going from his 1st year under Pike to his second. He was a 9.9% last season and 13.1% this season. His total rebounds per 100 possessions went up from 6.3 to 8.0
Omoruyi also improved a lot from his 1st to 2nd year under Pike, going from 11.5% to 14.5%... and from 11.0 to 14.0 rbs per 100 possessions.
Still, though, I don't know if percentages are the best gauge here... if Sanders isn't there to get the rebound, that doesn't mean that an opposing player will automatically get it - it might also go to a different RU player, too, whose % will grow to fill the vacuum next year, no?

look at the height of all players above Sanders. This is a very underrated part of his game and impact to RU.
