Here we go again :weary:
HOWARD looks like the better team on both sides of the ball. No words......
Because we have a supremely football illiterate fan base who excel only at whining. The OP is Phi Beta Kappa of that ilk.How many times do we have to hear "the sky is falling" fans only to see them look like idiots by the end of the game. The game is four quarters for a reason.
Watching Ash on the sidelines, he was coaching up a storm with individual players coming off the field. The team is being taught and, hopefully, learning. This game was all about coaching.
We are in great hands
Just like the person getting all excited when the horse they picked is winning after 1/4 mile (in a one mike race). How many times do we have to hear "the sky is falling" fans only to see them look like idiots by the end of the game. The game is four quarters for a reason.
YOU CANNOT DENY that in most of the first half, Rutgers looked like the slower, less talented team. Everyone saw the same thing. In the second half, obviously our plan to run the ball almost exclusively and our size/conditioning wore them out, but this is 2 games in a row that we came out of the gate looking like a D2 team before evening out into some kind of equilibrium. If not for a couple of penalties and a Grant kickoff return, Howard, --HOWARD---, would have been leading 21-0 after the first quarter. Bash the OP all you want, but at the time thats what we all saw and if we cant figure out how to start games with the right game plan and with more spring in our steps, 2-9 or even 1-10 are real possibilities.

I passed that along to coach Ash. He said he apologizes for not being perfect already.YOU CANNOT DENY that in most of the first half, Rutgers looked like the slower, less talented team. On a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 is the patience of a saint, and 10 is wanting everything yesterday, where would you rank your level of impatience? We dominated in the end, but for 20+ minutes I saw a big 10 team get pushed around by Howard on both sides of the ball. Can anyone deny that? That shouldnt happen even for 3 minutes and the fact it did reminded me of Shea/early schiano teams. Thats all I was saying. Glad we came back but seriously if you arent concerned about UNM next week I dont know what game you were watching.

Embarrassed yourself today. No way around it. We scored 52 unanswered points after coming out with a Washington hangover.
