Rutgers has the longest NCAA tournament drought of any Power 5 team, 27 years and counting. Auburn and TCU made the NCAA's last year, so RU's drought is 13 years longer than the next closest team, DePaul.
Hopefully Coach Pikiell can get the team there before too long. The future is getting brighter.

44 teams have never played in the tournament. Only four have been eligible since the beginning in 1939, and never played: Army, Citadel, St. Francis (Brooklyn) and William and Mary.

Looking at the list of the 44, it appears that all Power 5 teams have made the NCAA's at least once with Northwestern being the last Power 5 team to make the tournament in 2017.
