To better communicate with our expanding fan base, the SKWC will provide updates of our activities. I am David Bugen, the President of the SKWC, and would like to convey the status of the delivery of the Rutgers NCAA T-Shirts.

There is good news and bad news. The good news is that the recent success of the team at the Big Ten Tournament resulted in an unexpected increase in T-Shirt orders. Since Saturday, we received over 225 orders for T-Shirts. This was not expected and we are unable to acquire additional shirts and deliver them prior to the NCAAs. All shirts that we had in inventory will be mailed by March 10th. Over 600 shirts are being delivered to our fans consistent with when the orders were placed.

SKWC will reach out and contact all fans who will not be receiving a T-Shirt and ensure that a refund is provided. This process will commence the week of March 21st. We apologize for the inconvenience and sincerely appreciate and value the support of all fans. When we ordered the shirts, we did not anticipate the demand that was received between March 5th and March 8th.

Thank you for understanding. If you have any questions, please reach out to me by email: davidbugen@gmail.com.

Thanks again.

David

David,
I am NOT trying to be a Monday morning QB,but why don't you just give Steve at Scarlet Fever a call and see if he could print up some more for you fairly fast. In addition to his store,he owns a T-shirt printing business.

Great work by the SKWC, it will look great having the fans wearing the same shirts. I remember last year (my first Nationals) seeing how great the teams that did it looked.

David look forward to seeing you at MSG or the Social.

Please send me an email and I will get back ASAP. Have not received your email.

Posted this on the other board and thought it is worthwhile saying something good here on the wrestling board

i just called the SKWC guy as my shirts arrived today and I am out of town and won't return home until after the tournament. He offered to bring two Rutgers shirts (not the special NCAA Shirts as there are no more in my size) to the tournament or get me a refund. He was very helpful and understanding. Glad we have a Club supporting the wrestlers.

ASAP..stands for what in your book?? Next week? Unbelievable this guy is.Oh well,at least everyone else who ordered their shirts after me got hooked up.
Actually the work that "this guy" does to promote both Rutgers Wrestling and wrestling in New Jersey is incredible.

Do you know what a volunteer is???? Guy has a real job & he is doing a great job with the shirts, but clowns like you never appreciate anything people do out of the goodness of their hearts.

Never heard of him. There are plenty of guys who do for the wrestling community, myself included.

If you were even remotely involved with RU Wrestling or the SKWC at this time, you would know who David is. So your comments are basically demonstrating to everyone that you are not involved with the program. Chill with the freaking out about your $10 or $20 or whatever it is. They aren't going to rip you off. He is coming here, putting his name out for everyone to see and saying they will take care of it. So they will and that's that.

By the way, no matter how many thousands you've given, I can pretty much guarantee David does more for RU wrestling in one year than you've done in a lifetime (and it isn't just about the money).

I don't even care if mine come in time, I have so many black or red RU T shirts I'll just wear one of them on Friday and Saturday if I go on Saturday. I ordered right at the cut off so have no expectations they will come in time, and don't care as well. Hell, there wasn't even a shipping charge! lol. The only thing I'm concerned with is if the T shirt is Truly an XXL, and not a 'snug' XXL, lol. I've put on some 'muscle' the last few years : - )

I've gotten to meet Dave and Bill a little over the years, both do a fabulous job running the Club.

I'm still looking for 1 ticket for either or both sessions on Friday. What's the RU section anyway, Stubhub has some reasonable for Fri morning session. Jumps up a bit after that session.

Abro, after your comment I went and tried on my XXL shirts. Very happy to report they fit nicely. I also have A LOT of "MUSCLE" and I was not uncomfortable.

Don't let my 7 years ago picture to the left fool you, I am much more muscular than that now.

SKWC:

I'm good friends/classmates with Josh, not sure if we've met yet, but hopefully will next week. My advice would be to check with MSG to see if you can set up a table, possibly in the entrance area, to hand out the t-shirts that have been paid for but not yet sent out. If not there maybe you can do so at Doyle's?

Hope that helps!

Skwc - can we still buy shirts afterward? Was traveling and unable to order. Would still like too even if it comes two weeks later. Thanks!

RUCreedo, in general i opt out of personal attacks or replying to personal attacks. Things usually just blow over...But your comments about SKWC/David are unwarranted. Why? I personally posted about the t-shirts for weeks. You had several weeks to order, but you did not order until after Big Tens. There was a huge rush after Big Tens. While it is unfortunate we were not able to fully meet unexpected demand this is a shirt we are talking about, full refunds are offered, and there was plenty of time for people to order before the rush happened.

You raised the issue that this is for a sick person to whom you are close. Since there was a run on the shirts, and this is very important to you, perhaps get up to Rutgers this weekend and buy RU Wrestling shirts from one of the stores? I prefer collared shirts to t-shirts, so i went online and bought red and black RU golf shirts. There was plenty of time for you and there still is time to get a red and black Rutgers wrestling shirt for your friend. Call the stores maybe they can fedex for you to your friend.

On SKWC/David and his credentials...David wrestled with RU (so did I) and he is a major donor and volunteer. I am not disputing your account on a return email or call, but there are very few people more Type A than our beloved Davd and i can assure you that an email must have been filtered for him to miss it an not reply. More on "this guy" ... David and I started the SKWC in 2011 and David took over as President from me this past year. David led the fundraising of $400,000 for 5 year salary augment so we have tools to keep top staff. David has personally donated large sums, gives lots of time and contributed major expertise to RU Athletics and SKWC. And he ran a very successful investment firm, so he is a businessman, a Rutgers alum, parent of alum, etc.

HeavenUniv...thanks for the note in another thread.
RUCreedo...great news. "For those of you looking for Rutgers Wrestling T-shirts, hats, and sweatshirts, Scarlet fever in New Brunswick has them. Phone is 732-247-4678."
