It's really starting to look that way. No one denies that you need to go after talent whenever possible, but you have to have a vision of how the talent is going to fit together and whether or not the talent is committed to the overall philosophy of how you play.Recruiting for fit > recruiting for stars.
Underwood seems to really hate this team.
Too early to say for sure. We don't play them for over a month. If we played them Sunday, I would agree with you. They have time to get right with whoever is still on the roster/rotation by the time we get them. We’re going to run them out of their own gym.

I called for a letdown loss last night and was dead wrong. I’m dipping my toes in the waters of a new Rutgers world.Take that back right now!
Do not jinx things
Wish we were playing Illinois now. Who knows maybe they get their act together later in the seasonApparently the Illinois TOS writers are hinting that this isn't the end of the bad news. Possible injury to a major player.

Skyy Clark…committed to DePaul in eighth grade, Kentucky as a Junior, and Illinois as a 5 star senior. Now walking away for personal reasons. Lots going on with this kid. Hope he gets it together.Recruiting for fit > recruiting for stars.
Sadly many of these 5 star types are not used to playing team ball IMO. Then you get to big time ball and people and coaches who need to win aren't kissing your ass all day if you don't put the work in and play well. It's really starting to look that way. I really think some recruits have selective hearing when it comes to parts of the recruiting discussion. They hear the parts about them having a prominent role and being a key piece of the building the program, but don't hear the part about putting in the work and earning PT, etc.
