I know, yet another post on last night's debacle but i thought it deserved a new thread given the direct quote from Norries Wilson, about why he would kick a field goal down 21 points (3 touchdowns) with 10 minutes to play IN THE GAME, which kept RU down, um, 3 touchdowns.
"Well, I decided to kick it (because) it was fourth-and-10 from the 11. We had just run what we thought was one of our good choices in that distance so we decided to kick the field goal.''
The players and the fans deserve much better than this. Our interim head coach ultimately conceded the game with 10 minutes left. A TD (while far from a sure thing) pulls us within 2 and at least gives the team some HOPE. How can we expect our team not to give up when our coaches apparently do?
Feed Hicks and #freerettig next week, please. If we can't stop a team from scoring, maybe we can outscore them.
