They wouldn't say why they dismissed him from their program. Why hasn't anyone looked into what they're covering up?

I don't think nj.com has a PSU beat writer.
Its a NJ issue isn't it being that the player is from a Sayerville program and appears to have a lot of bad apples? Why isn't that being covered?

Disagree..Penn State issue. Has nothing to do with the state. If there's news broke, I'm sure they'll report it. But its stupid for them to investigate a team they don't cover, in my opinion.
Don't kids get suspended or kicked off teams for "violation of team rules" all the time? It's not covering up what they did, it's respecting their privacy and leaving it to them to divulge what happened if they want.
Kelly, his HS coach, and the coaches at UMass are all well aware of what happened. If Kelly wants to talk about it publicly, he is allowed to. It's not Franklin's place to talk about it.
From what I've seen and heard, it was not a legal issue, if that means anything to you.

Its a reach to investigate something that doesn't have to do with NJ. its not a reach to report stats or info about a player from NJ. (which NJ.com did when PSU dismissed him). Not NJ.com's job to do an investigation on a college they don't cover.
I agree that this isn't really a NJ or Rutgers issue, but in kyk's defense, NJ.com has justified articles on PSU players from NJ posted on the "Rutgers Football" page on the basis that they are from NJ and were recruited by Rutgers. That turd Kevin Managan or whatever his name is was using this as justification in response to comments from angry Rutgers fans in an article I saw a few months back.
That being said, I really don't care whether we ever find out what happened either way.
This board is starting to look more and more like the PSU free board a few years ago by the day. No one knows why Kelly was dismissed but he wasn't arrested, didn't beat a woman and didn't rob anyone. I also don't think he had Franklin write his term paper and then personally visit his professor to get a grade changed.
Whatever happened with the Vanderbilt rape case during the James Franklin era? Coach franklin claims he had no idea about it and didnt cover anything up....id recommend watching the 20/20 special on it, plus there is horrific video which i never saw on espn etc

If you know, please share. How someone could get dismissed from a football team within 48 hours of being on campus and it not be legal is, well just a mystery.
I'm not gonna share for the same reason I don't think anyone should share personal info about these kids. Because despite our craziness and fandom they are after all just kids.

You relax. Either spill the beans or don't be high and mighty with the comment. He's not a kid by the way-he's over 18. He's an adult. 18 year olds can go in to the armed forces and are tried as adults.. They are adults.
