Too many defenders covering the under route (4 in total) and leaving the back of the endzone open. We had enough defenders in space (4 against 2) there but it was a breakdown in recognition.

What I don't understand is why did they even try to substitute on that play. Everyone knew they were going get it off soon and there was no time to substitute. Essentially you gave them a free play.

I agree and that's exactly what I was screaming at my TV. It seemed the players were slow to react to the snap because they figured a flag was going to be thrown.
