I'll stand by what I said yesterday. Haven't heard anything new. I mentioned the Williams thing before that came out, but I was told at the time he was "interested in joining the staff". I didn't realize that meant he would be a candidate for the HC spot. As for Hurley, I'll still have to stand by what I was told that it's not Hurley yet. I've heard there was something precluding him from being offered the role. Now, if the preferred candidates pass and that hurdle is cleared, it could end up being DH. But, last I heard, that was not the case yet.

That's fascinating stuff, ouch. I realize your position on where we are is contrarian to the mainstream narrative, but you could make the data fit this position. It's possible, maybe even likely, that Hobbs is working on multiple fronts right now, seeing what it would take to get coach X or coach Y. He might be in serious negotiations with a couple of folks. And if Hurley is not #1 on that list, and maybe is sensing that he isn't, then this would be a major loss of face for him. So why not put out the notion that he has reservations about the job?

Just out of curiosity...since when did Jay Williams desire to be a head coach? Is that a new thing? I wouldn't object to a guy like that on staff, but as the head coach, it seems crazy.

My sources have told me that a hire will happen very quickly. My sources have also told me who the hire will be and when it will happen. However, to protect my sources I can't yet divulge those specifics. However once the school makes the announcement I will come back and tell you guys everything. I promise!

Hey ouch, Since his name is out there, can you tell us if Jay Williams is involved with either of the two folks you have been talking about? There was talk of some sort of creative approach to this.

When I was told about Williams, I was under the impression that he'd reach out to whomever was hired and offer his services. Based on what's being reported it seems that might not be the case as I don't know if he'd accept an assistant position.
