TEAM NOTES
• Rutgers trailed 52-27 with 5:25 left in the third quarter. RU responded with 28 unanswered points. The comeback from down 25 points matches the largest in school history. On Nov. 29 2014, Rutgers defeated Maryland 41-38 after trailing 35-10 in the third quarter.
• The Scarlet Knights scored 28 unanswered points to finish the game.
• With 107 combined points, the total was the most combined points scored in a Rutgers regulation game. The total tied a 55-52 win over SMU on Oct. 5, 2013, a game that went into a third overtime.
• It was the second all-time meeting between Rutgers and Indiana. Rutgers has won both games in the series.
Robert Martin rushed for three touchdowns and Leonte Carroo had three reception touchdowns. It was the first time in school history that Rutgers had a player with three rushing touchdowns and a player with three receiving touchdowns.
Kemoko Turay returned a fumble 26 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. The last time Rutgers returned a fumble for a touchdown was Oct. 5, 2013 at SMU.
• Rutgers recorded 596 total yards to reach 500 for the third time this season.
• Rutgers had a season-low one penalty.
• Rutgers out-rushed its opponent for the fifth time in six games, totaling 210 yards compared to 163 by Indiana.
• Rutgers had over 200 yards both passing and rushing. It was the third time this season Rutgers had over 200 yards in both categories (Norfolk State – 291 rushing, 248 passing, Kansas – 312 rushing, 201 passing)
• Rutgers opponents are now 3-of-14 on 4th down this season
Kyle Federico made a 26-yard field goal on the final play of the game to win the game. The last time Rutgers had a game-winning field goal on the final play of the game was Nov. 6, 2011. San San Tee converted a 37-yard field goal in overtime as RU defeated USF 20-17.
• Rutgers defense held Indiana to just 25 yards in the fourth quarter. The Scarlet Knights controlled the ball for 11:31 in the final quarter, outgaining the Hoosiers 200-25 and outscoring IU 22-0.
• This was the first time that two Big Ten teams each scored over 50 points in a conference game since Michigan defeated Illinois 67-65 in three overtimes.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES

WR Leonte Carroo
o Extended his school record to 28 with three more receiving touchdowns. Has played in 27 games in his career at wide receiver.
o Averaging a touchdown every 3.71 receptions in his career (104 receptions/28 touchdowns).
o Totaled three touchdowns in a game for the fifth time in his career and third in four games this season. No other Rutgers player in school history has even two three-touchdown games.
o Has nine touchdowns this season in 14 quarters played.
o The nine touchdowns this season are tied for fourth-most in a season in Rutgers.
o Racked up a season-high 157 yards receiving to top 100 for the 11th time in his career. That passes Mohamed Sanu for the second-most 100-yard games in school history. The record is 14 100-yard games by Kenny Britt.
o Tied career high with seven receptions for the fourth time.
o Has at least one reception in last 24 games played.

QB Chris Laviano
o Recorded three passing touchdowns for the second time this season, tying his career high.
o Threw for a career-high 386 yards.
o His 386 passing yards is tied for 5th on RU’s single-game passing leaderboard (Mike McMahon at Army, Oct. 18, 1997).

RB Robert Martin
o Scored a career-high three touchdowns, equaling his output in last season’s victory over Indiana.
o In his career against the Hoosiers, Martin has carried the ball 28 times for 190 yards and six touchdowns.
o Martin went over the 100-yard plateau for the third time in his career.

FB Sam Bergen
o Had first career rush on a fake punt, which went for 15 yards.

LB Steve Longa
o Had a game and season high 16 tackles.
o Has recorded double-digit tackles in four of six games this season.

DB Isaiah Wharton
o Picked up first career interception in the fourth quarter.

DB Anthony Cioffi
o Picked up team-leading third interception of the season in the fourth quarter.
o The last time a Rutgers player had at least three interceptions in a season was in 2012 (Brandon Jones, 5 and Logan Ryan, 4).
