Got to check out Rutgers commits Jabbie and Campbell vs 2018 QB offer Artur Sitkowski and Old Bridge on Friday night. Jabbie and Campbell led South Brunswick to victory 20-9.

We'll start with the young gunslinger Sitkowski. Has national recruit written all over him in a very strong 2018 QB class in NJ. Doesn't have a ton of talent surrounding him at OB but love his perfect over the top release, at a legit 6-3, 6-4 you don't have to worry about balls being batted down. Showed some athleticism as well as OB runs a lot of zone read and option. Sitkowski isn't a dual threat but was able to get some positive yardage on designed runs, and on their long touchdown run, Sitkowski held onto the football for as long as possible, drawing in the defense before making the pitch. A lot of younger QB's with strong arms tend to throw a fastball all the time but he knows when he needs to throw with some touch, when he needs to put some air under the football etc. He had some drops and a few passes where he didn't full step into the throw which led to incompletions but I had him at 11-20, 125 yards.

WR Mo Jabbie has really made some strides since last season. South Brunswick is throwing the football much more than they have in the past and Jabbie has taken full advantage this season. This was actually his worse game of the season as he only caught 4 passes for 18 yards. South Brunswick likes to use him on underneath routes and OB did a very good job of keeping everything in front of them. Jabbie's biggest contribution was on special teams as he took a punt 78 yards for a touchdown to start the scoring. Jabbie has told me that he really made an effort to work on his speed in the off season and it shows as he blew past the OB punt coverage team. Didn't see OB throw his way on defense as he was mainly lined up over the slot receiver.

S Phil Campbell
was hobbled by a hamstring but he still managed to carry the football 16 times for 80 yards and a short TD run. I honestly think he could play offense in college but he loves playing defense. He was credited with 9 tackles from his safety position and he is just a heat seeking missing. One play stood out in particular where Campbell read the run play from his safety position and shot into the backfield, ran over a running back trying to block him and blew up the play in the backfield. It was a thing of beauty.

Probably the biggest prospect on the South Brunswick team for all classes is 2018 WR Justin Shorter. I think he will be the biggest prospect from the program since Mo Sanu. We've mentioned Shorter in the past as he ran an electric 4.5 40 yard dash at Rutgers this summer at 6 foot 3, 197 pounds. He caught a 46 yard fade route for a TD and dropped another sure touchdown on a similar route. SB does a lot to try to get the ball in his hands including zero routes and short screens. I think he'll see an offer from Rutgers sooner than later.

2 more South Brunswick prospects to keep an eye on. 2016 CB Wendell Allen had a strong day on both sides of the football and I was shocked that he doesn't have any offers at this point but think he needed to do some work academically and I was told that he had improved there. He ran a 4.3 at Syracuse camp this summer and has the length most colleges at a legit 6-1, 6-0 and I'm told he's ran in the low 22's, high 21 in the 200 meters. He told me that Rutgers is keeping a close eye and with the need for more CB's he could be a name to remember

2017 DT Andre Eldridge is listed at 6-2, 290 but is probably closer to 6 feet. I thought he did a great job at times of occupying multiple defenders in the middle of the SB defense to blow up run plays. Not really explosive off the snap but looks to have the ideal strength to play at the division 1 level.
