We lost our all-World punter, our long snapper, and replaced our PK. No worries!
P Flynn Appleby has looked like Adam Korsak “lite” out there so far. He must’ve paid attention while he redshirted last year.
PK Jai Patel looks like a keeper. Hits a 51-yarder down the middle (and would’ve been good from 60), and the 43 yarder was just effortless.
Last year’s PK Jude MacAtamney is still the KO specialist and is 13 for 13 on touchbacks, which avoids KO returns (a big deal since our KO coverage left a lot to be desired last year).
No issues with long snapping despite breaking in a true freshman.
Rochelle was much more sure handed as the punt returner last night. He has been coached up, and I don’t expect any issues moving forward.
