This is great news and shows that unlike football where the talent on the field can out muscle and run faster than lesser opponents, sometimes talent on the court can have an off night and the lesser talented team can go off and shoot lights out. Kudos to SFA for beating Puke.
SFA didn't shoot lights out... in fact they only hit two threes the entire game. They forced tons of turnovers, just like they did against Rutgers. Difference is, Pikiell has taught the Scarlet Knights how to play defense. We are the only team they've faced so far that they didn't score 80+ points again. We held them to 57!
This is so true. Duke made 4 turnovers against SFA in the 5 minutes of overtime. We hardly turned it over in the second half against SFA. We played much better offense against SFA than Duke did. Carey got a lot of inside buckets as he was too big for SFA but SFA drove into the paint at will against the Dukies. It was so nice to see. Their coach is very humble and I hope SFA can win their league.
