Student ticket lottery. They went "on sale" at a specific time today. Within hours, I assume, all tickets were accounted for by the students.

Yup. Tickets are "claimed" within a certain timeframe each week. If more are claimed than available, they use certain criteria to select the winners, previous seasons a ticket was claimed, previous games this season a ticket was claimed, previous games attended. Occasionally to boost their points, they'll have a rewards game (usually something like a soccer game) where you attend and get your ID scanned to boost your score by a specific amount athletics chooses.

Students can buy discounted season tickets too, both my kids do that. Think it's $100 or so.
