This is from an NJ.com article today....

"The press box is packed with media, 20 scouts from 15 NFL teams and two bowl scouts from the Citrus Bowl following the action."

Talk about some serious exposure for high school recruits! Rutgers has established itself as a place that creates mature and NFL-ready players both on and off the field. Despite the rash of recent bad press, the majority of our players are extremely well adjusted members of society and are high character guys that NFL GM's want to fill their locker rooms with. Also, on the field, scouts know that if you pick a Rutgers kids then he is going to be light years ahead of a kid coming from a spread offense when it comes to learning the NFL playbooks and being able to execute those plays at a high level.

Going forward, BTN is going to be very inclined to try and give Rutgers the most prime-time games it can as long as Rutgers record can justify it because of the large Tri-State population and viewership. This is KEY for recruits because it means tons of exposure to scouts, coaches, and GMs. Additionally, it also creates big "event" type games like tonight, which tends to warrant an actual physical trip from NFL scouts.

This is great news for both Rutgers as well as their recruits because it makes the hard road to the NFL a little easier for the RU players.
