1. Didn't realize Bosa was out this game! ;)

4. Facts are facts. Can't dispute that one. (but I think I'd take Barrett)

5. No we have not. We've been to a couple big and loud stadiums in our day though...

10. Don't be stingy. Send some to the Hilton in East Brunswick as well :pimp:

Good one, especially #10!

1. Leonte Carroo is the best player on the field
Leonte Carroo is the best WR on the field, if he's healthy. Is he a better overall player than Zeke Elliott, Joey Bosa or Darron Lee?
2. The combo of Robert Martin, Josh Hicks, and Paul James are almost as good as Ezekiel Elloitt:
Um, I guess? They do have more total yards and almost as many TD's if you add them all up.
3. tOSU has no answer for Rutgers version of Megatron, Carlton Agudosi
The guy with 22 career catches who hasn't played at all in two games this season because he plays the same position as Carroo? I'm sure that if he were Rutgers version of Megatron they'd find a way to get him on the field.
4. Chris Laviano has a higher qbr than both tOSU qbs
Not according to this: http://espn.go.com/ncf/qbr/_/group/5/qualified/false Barrett doesn't qualify because he hasn't played enough, but he has a 74.9 QBR compared to Laviano's 61.6.
5. tOSU has never experienced Rutgers home field advantage before
True so...okay? I'm sure it's light years ahead of VT, Michigan, Penn State, Michigan State...
6. tOSU lost a ton of talent from last years team, most notably Michael Bennett and Devin Smith
True so...okay?
7. Janarion Grant is going to take one to the house
That could happen, he's a great return guy from what I can tell. Ohio State has some of the best coverage teams in the country though.
8. Team was nervous and tight in last years game. Saturday were going to play wild and free and let it all hang out.

I prefer using "fortnight", but whatever works for ya.

Ugh.... i have nothing against tOSU disputing the case brought out by our resident homer, but to use ESPN's QBR is lame.

I guess I assumed he meant the actual QBR and wasn't shorthanding the QB Rating. Laviano does have a higher QB rating than either Jones or Barrett. Barrett's only thrown 6 passes over the past 3 games, though. One of which he didn't even play in.

More fun with QB statistics since I have the window open, and we know statistics never lie, right?

JT Barrett has a QB rating of 648.4 in away games this year.
JT Barrett has a QB rating of 288.4 in conference games/the Month of October.
JT Barrett has not thrown an incompletion in away games or conference games this year.

JT Barrett has not played enough for those ratings to mean anything, and saturday he will face the wrath of the SCARLET CURTAIN defense.

We've been saving him to enhance our chances of beating tOSU. Saturday is his coming out party.

I believe he is. despite playing 2 fewer games than Elliott, he has almost as many TDs. Bosa didn't have as much of an impact in last years game as i thought he would, as he was going up against KING KEITH LUMPKIN part of the time. When he rushes on the other side, we will be better prepared for him, and have effective countermeasures to mitigate his effectiveness.
Darron Lee is a great player, greatly admire him.

Unfortunately there are (a lot) more than 10 reasons why we will NOT beat the #1 ranked defending National Champions who haven't lost a game in a long time. I will say though that I think there's a good chance that home field advantage will allow the team to put up a better fight than last year's embarrassment. Our team plays like sh*t on the road but sometimes much better at home.

People in general: We're going to lose.

Al: We're going to win the national championship by running the table and scoring dozens of points on everyone.

People: God damn man, I would love to live in your world for about ten minutes.

Al: Yeah. I have a really good time.

People: Ehehehyeah, it seems like it. You know I don't think I'd get anything done, but I probably wouldn't care that much.

Although I'm not too sure our secondary will hold up...on the occasion we get it together.

I like the idea of calling our secondary the "Scarlet Curtain". Like the "No-Fly Zone", but ours.

Lets Go RU! I love Al's enthusiasm every year. I missed his posts a lot this year.

Al, the reasons why RU won't win this game are two numerous to mention.
But here's two:
1. Over the last five recruiting classes (2011-2015) Ohio State has gotten 74 4-star recruits. Rutgers got 11.
2. Ohio State has a better head coach than we do.
I'm just hoping that we don't get blown out.

Before anyone warns me, yes I know of Al and his generously optimistic outlook on all things Rutgers. It happens to just be a slow afternoon here.

There's more to being a great football player than scoring touchdowns. Zeke is a great runner, but he's probably even better without the ball in his hands. Where Ohio State will miss him most next year is blitz pickup and downfield blocking. Bosa last year had 2 sacks...15% of his production for the year. I guess if you feel like that's little impact all I can say is

This one feels tongue-in-cheek to me (much like my stats on Barrett you replied to...of course he hasn't thrown enough for those to mean anything, all the stats posted equaled 7 passes), but if you're in any way serious I have to say you must be pretty upset with the coaching staff if he's good enough to help win games against the defending national champs, but they didn't use him against say Washington State.

1. Yes , if he's 100% Carroo could be the Best 2. What makes Zeke good is the O line...if our O line steps it up P.J. , Martin and Hick's with a touch of Goodwin is damn close 3. I might agree with Agudosi but Meyers is smart 4. Chris Laviano will be very good in the next few years...perhaps not as athletic but he is a tough kid. 5. Tough to say about home field advantage...it could if it's a close game but even then...much of the fanbase leaves after the 3rd ...even on a weekend nite and that is pathetic...do you hear me section 225 on the 50 yd line? 6.Really al...those two weren't replaced by an equal or better player???...Ohio State is 4 deep all around...we should be as lucky. 7. I hope he gets an opportunity and like Leonte .... J.Grant needs to be 100% in order to be a factor...8. We have nothing to lose so I agree with the assessment. 9. We need to play"like our hair is on fire". 10. That will ONLY drain the guys al...or did you mean after the game?... GO RUTGERS!!!!...BRING THE PAIN THIS GAME.

My favorite part of this thread is he still hasn't clarified what he meant by #9.
