Didn't see a thread for this, so just wanted to thank Coach Jordan for taking on a nearly impossible task and giving it his all.

He's in the Hall of Distinguished Alumni, and he's a true Loyal Son of Rutgers. Took us to our only Final Four and finally got his degree. We may be continuing this journey without him at the top of the program, but when we were at one of our lowest points, he was the guy who came in to ensure that we moved past it with integrity and honor -- and beat #4 Wisconsin.

I hope -- in time -- he'll continue to be a fixture at Rutgers, even as someone else brings us to the top of the Big Ten.

Totally agree with your post. Loyal son who really cares about RU. Took a job that nobody else wanted and washed the taint of Mike Rice. I really wanted it to work for Eddie since I got to see him play and bring glory to the school that is has never reached since. Unfortunately it did not work. Although I love Eddie, this was something that Pat Hobbs had to do. Hopefully he will hit it out of the park like I truly believe he did with coach Ash.

Thanks for what? For coaching hard? For recruiting hard? No, not very thankful for his efforts.

Well said. Eddie will always be one of us. I wish him well.

Oh, I'm still mad at the ump that called me out in Little League when the ball was low.
Argh, I hate that one teacher that wouldn't bump by grade up by one measly 0.5 to get me to a B-.
&#$@!! to the three girls that said no to me to the Junior Prom!
Friggin' Petsmart -- $24.99 for paper that my rabbit pees on??!!
Damn you, Earth!! You spit water on me, sometimes!!! Then I get really hot on some days? Damn you!

Dude -- relax, be happy you're getting a new coach. Appreciate the fact that he was here during a turbulent, transition period. I hold no ill will toward him, and I wish him the absolute best. If he can continue to represent RU with class, going forward, that would be wonderful.

Have a nice day! : )

I could discuss the things that are more important on this side of the Delaware than over there, but you just wouldn't understand.

I believe this is a thread for Rutgers MEN to acknowledge a Rutgers MAN who took on a DIFFICULT challenge on behalf of all of us, did what he was capable of, and turned out to not be the right man for the job at this time.

THANK YOU & GOOD LUCK, EDDIE!

That guy is a moron.

His posts are always good for some comic relief.

I wonder if he's gonna honor his $50K pledge to the $100MM Big Ten facilities campaign. Tough call.

Thanks, Eddie. Thanks for 1976, thanks for a win over a Top Five team, and thanks for being a good "coach-in-transition."

Eddie,
Surprised. Thought with you being an alumnus and an RU Final Four hero, you would get another year to show what you could do with a healthier and better team.
Love you.
