The drought continues...28 years and counting.
Actually hard to believe.
But once again we face the annual reality of not participating in the excitement of March madness.
So, picking a surrogate team to root for is our option as Rutgers fans.
It's too easy to choose the top seeds.
Most of you will be upset but I am going to root on the Seton Hall Pirates.
Of course when they play us I want to beat them badly.
They are however our New Jersey rival and since they will represent our state in the tourney I choose to root for them.
Who will my fellow fans pick?
This drought better end soon!

Kansas State. They have a group of upper class men who have been together for a few seasons. They play hard and good defense every game. Fun to watch.

FDU - Doing my MBA there. Probably a first round bounce, but cool nonetheless.

I am sticking with Gonzaga. They have been my surrogate team for years!! Can't wait until we play them in 2020 or 2021. The drought is ending soon.

ASU ( if invited), unless Loyola of Chicago gets in. Then it will be the Ramblers, even if the Sun Devils make it.

It probably will be a chalk tournament with the winner coming from the ACC or SEC.I don't think there will be a surprise team like Loyola of Chicago.I think Seton Hall or even St.Johns could win a game depending on match ups.I really like the way Michigan is playing right now and they are a tournament tough team.

I'll root for the Big 10 teams first, then the NJ teams second, and usually the underdog in games without a Big10 or NJ team.

Wiggles, buffalo . Whatever mid major advances out of the first weekend .
For the top seeded schools Gonzaga. For the BIG Wisconsin or mich state .

Hate our B1G foes but have to root for them so that it shows the conference is good and hopefully earns more bids next year (better chance for RU to make it). Have to put Rutgers interests first above my hate. After that, root against every Big Least school and ACC

For many years, I had little interest in the NCAA's if Rutgers was not in it. Have nephews at Florida and Villanova now, so at least I can follow somebody. And I am VERY glad we turned down the XYZ tournament.
