I have been curious for some time, why 1984 instead of Johnny Ringoes.

I have been curious for some time, why 1984 instead of Johnny Ringoes.

Going back to say about 1999-2000 there was another poster in this very small western town by the name RingoesJim. He was fairly active in attending and giving practice reports. Folks often confused the two of us. So I made the change. I lost about 3,000 posts back then and while 1984 is not my fav. handle I don't want to start that over (again).
I'm flattered. I didn't think anybody on this site even noticed me unless I said something stupid (which is running like 50% I guess anyway LOL).

After many years I just changed my season tix location to the other side of the stadium (visitor's side) and as I may very well (semi) retire soon and reinvent myself..maybe its time to go "home" and bring back johnny. :)

Thanks for the reply. I didn't realize when you change
your handle you lose your posts, you think that is necessary
or something that can be changed? So was 1984 in reference
to the famous book? By the way I lost over a thousand posts
when I went from NickKnight to Nickknight 1, of which I did because
I could not get on one night and kept on getting a message there was
already a NickKnight so in frustration I added the 1.
