Hello All.

An idea popped up on the Round Table earlier today. One of our more determined and fanatical posters, whom we all know as kyk1827, thought it would be very helpful to our chances to land Markquese if we tried to gather support and show it by going out to his game on Friday. We could all deck out in RU gear and watch one of the premier players in the Northeast do his thing. I know this may sound creepy to some. But we aren't doing this under the guise of anything inappropriate. Just simply going to a football game decked out in RU gear to show support. Every little bit helps. We already have a few willing participants. The more the merrier. They will be playing Millville in Bridgeton, NJ on Friday night around 7 I believe. Hopefully this interests some of you. If not, well then fine, be that way :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:.

good idea..too bad you cant get RU riot squad there..

What the hell for? Thanks for inviting me by the way.

Kaitlyns best friend lives 45 mins from there and her boyfriend was able to score a few tickets ... soooo we decided to just get the hell down there STAT. Need to experience the top for once instead of perpetually hoping to get out of the basement

Is there any reason the RUriotsquad couldn't go? I feel like it might be a good idea for them to hit up a key recruit high school game on Friday each week.

That might actually yield some results if that just became a riot squad tradition.

Bridgeton is about as far away from 90% of NJ as you can possibly get. Its an odd town as we have gone there many times for soccer, track, cross country for my daughters.

I admire the idea but I honestly don't think that will have any factor in his decision.

Bump. We should reach out to the school about the riot squad being able to go to games. Not sure if that is an NCAA violation if they go. They're an official student organization, so I'm sure it would have to be run by compliance

I actually don't think this is a completely terrible idea...

I imagine if RU had a considerable amount of Fans (enough to clearly stand out in the stands) willing to travel throughout the state and show support for a key Recruit or two who are on the fence i could see it making an impression. Kids these days are all about "feelin' the love" from fans and as a high schooler what better way to feel "loved" by a school and its fans than having them show up to your BIG game of the season and rooting for you all game long, lookign into teh stands and seeing signs with your name etc. Talk about feeling wanted... It may sound a bit ridiculous but i think it WOULD make quite the impression. I am not really aware of something like this being done much anywhere.

Would just need to make sure the people involved are doing it on their own and have no affiliation with any RU organization at all. We are not NC, we would NOT be able to get away with even the slightest violation here.

I'm planning on leaving Manhattan at 4 on Friday to make this. I hope we can get a large turnout. Just so everyone knows, we're not going to like try to take pictures with Markquese or even talk to him haha we're basically just going to watch one of our top prospects in action and wearing RU gear. I'm sure we will be noticed by fans

Yes... leave the kid alone!! Wear the RU gear, cheer him and his team on and make sure he knows you are there, but let's not be creepy and try to make contact with the kid.
