THE OFFICIAL NCAA TOURNEY 1ST ROUND PREDICTION THREAD: RUTGERS-SETON HALL

I HATE, HATE, HATE thinking this, but Seton Hall 78 Rutgers 69.

I am very worried about the injuries and about CVS tirades.

Making a prediction for this game is difficult because of the uncertainty regarding Rutgers injuries.I will give them the benefit of doubt and pick Rutgers based on Copper,Scaife and Laney having big offensive performances.

Rutgers 64 Seton Hall 61

I, too, am worried about our injuries. However, I think our women will "step up" and at least one will have a season-high performance.

RU 70 SHU 66

Is Hollivay thought to be most uncertain regarding ability to play? I think we win if everyone else plays.

I think she may be more likely to play.

Not trying to flame but kind of sad that there is not more interest in making predictions. Its not like we are distracted by the mens team. Maybe its UConn lurking next that is dampening the interest? People don't see a realistic path beyond round 2.

that's just how it is around here, usually the prediction thread does not get more than 10-12 responses tops. People just do not want to predict...you will probably see even less predictions if RU wins and plays UConn tomorrow

Well, even with the unknown of two or our ladies possibly missing this game, I have to go with our alma mater. Rutgers by a 3 point shot.

So much depends on the health of our team. Hollivey should be ready to go, and Laney's hand should be much better.
The big brace on Essie's leg is a concern, but we can win without her,as I believe Parker is ready to serve as an adequate fill-in. If she can just remember that that those passes that were there in HS are not there now.

That said RU 78
SH 63 Defense will rule

Simmons will have a big game.

This is a tough one. Two weeks layoff, possible key injuries. Will we be motivated? Will the Hall have revenge on their side?

I must admit I haven't been paying much attention to the games or the team lately, because of how we finished the season and lost a potential nice seed, playing Seton Hall and Uconn. C Viv's comments have me feeling bad about the future of this team.

I hope they cover this one on ESPN and don't jump around.

Rutgers 63 Seton Hall 61.

There is absolutely no excuse for us not to be motivated this evening and for the next game if we should be fortunate to win tonight. The opportunity to atone for the late season slide should be motivation enough. Especially for those who are done after this year.

Do you have any clue as to what attributed to the late season slide.

If you don't then ask someone.

Some of us just aren't good at predicting scores, so we don't bother.

It's fun for some to pick RU, others don't bother but want a RU win.
Plus there are those who want Rutgers to win , but don't think they will. So that's how they pick, how they feel, not who they want.
I just don't understand rufeelinit:talking about making predictions, but not picking a score
