THE OFFICIAL RUTGERS-MICHIGAN STATE PREDICTION THREAD

Michigan State gives up a lot of points. This is not the same Defense we have seen in the past.
Points given up:
Furman- 13
Notre Dame- 28
Wisconsin- 30
Indiana- 24
BYU- 31
Northwestern- 54
Maryland- 28
Michigan- 32
Illinois- 31

So I say we score here and I'll go out on the limb and say Rutgers- 27 Michigan State- 26

I hate basing decisions on transitive theory, but based on MSU losing 24-21 to Indy (RU losing 33-27) and MSU losing to Illinois 30-27 (RU losing 24-7):
RU 30
MSU 28

I'm going to deviate from my normally rational predictions and pick RU in the upset. I can't point to a single objective reason for this, but Gio celebrates a victory in his homecoming to MI:

RU 24- MSU 21

we cover but find a way to lose. Just don't think the team is ready to win yet.

yep plus illinois had to start its 3rd string qb and play without 3 of its top 4 wr and still scored 31

That could be us in 2018, but not now. The higher the score, the bigger the difference. We just don't have the firepower.
MSU 34. RU. 20

I changed my mind, Gio will have a little get up and go and Goodwin will bust through MSU.

RU- 28 MSU- 25

I don't know why, but I have a bad feeling about how this game will play out. They're having a real bad year, but I think they beat us pretty good.

RU 17

713, In one of my rare moments of seriousness and clarity I feel the same way. Having said that we have 3 games to either destroy , save or upgrade the incoming class by what we do on the field.

On the positive side MSU has nothing much to play for so they might just go through the motions this game.
I disagree. They have a lot to play for. They don't want the embarrassment of losing to a horrible Rutgers team and owning the basement of the B1G East.

We're either going to win bigly, or lose bigly, or else it will be a close game.

Too soon?

My head is telling me the 5th game we lose in the big ten this year decided in the four quarter....28-24
