There's only one path to victory and must include ALL of these factors.
A) Take the 1st available driving lane AND hope the refs call them for some fouls
B) Take shots in transition before the defense is set...if they set up defensively, RU is going to struggle to score.
C) Go with a smaller, quicker lineup...we need 24 to 25 minutes of 3 guards on the floor to shoot 3s with Eugene as the 4th threat from 3. We need to take 25 to 30 3's in hopes of hitting 8 to 10 of them. I would go with heavy doses of McConnell, Mathis, Harper together mixed with Baker and maybe play Eugene at the 5....they're without huge size with Ward out, spread, drive and kick out for treys
D) Play this game free and loose....that may mean looking bad when you take this many 3s, but you have to make Izzo uncomfortable and give them something else to look at. As crazy as it sounds, Peter Kiss played fast and loose BUT he took 3s that were "bad shots"....a couple of them went in and it throws MSU off.
MSU 65, RU 57.....if RU makes some 3s early and hit some of their 1 and 1 FTs, we have a ball game very late in East Lansing.
