I know that was a tough hard faught game in Iowa City the other night than some may think could cause this team to have a let down, but I just do not see it. Happened earlier in the month against the Illini and we bounced back with a home sweep over Indiana & Minny.
This team is resilient & hungry and if anything I think this just fuels them even more. We get back to playing our tough defense in our gym, Myles has a double/double as we look to take advantage of our size in the paint & on the glass and I think RU wins this one.
Couple Keys:
1. Strong defense on Cam Mack-He is there playmaker and drives this offense. I expect a healthy dose of Mathis & Young on him.
2. Guard the 3: They like to hoist up 3s or get to the lane so continue to play tough perimeter defense and do not get lazy on rotation. We do not double a ton nor is there a threat inside to force that so do not overhelp and leave an open shot.
3. Get in the Paint: As mentioned above, a steady dose of post play between Myles, RHJ & Yeboah with some outside shooting mixed in if they come to double.
I know the fear of the trap game & the waiting for the other shoe to drop because its Rutgers and we feel snakebitten but this team is different. I expect a focused locked in group to come up with a W.
