Our team fights hard for a while and - aided by NW's early disinterest - manages to make it a game for a half.
A 16-point loss no longer feels like a blowout. Northwestern is no longer seen as a winnable game, or a school with whom we should be able to compete, but a solid member of the B1G middle tier (meaning light years ahead of us). The fact that we competed with them for 15 minutes is celebrated by some, who praise Eddie for "keeping the team together".
Rutgers 76
Northwestern 67
RU will win this one and Hobbs will extend Jordan 2 more years right after the game,
citing he sees progress being made and everyone on this board agrees:cool2:
Northwestern 65 Rutgers 50.
Close for a while, then we go into one of our patented 8 minute 1-12 shooting stretches. You know what that looks like. Seen it every game.
