Given all the chaos in the polls I'd be very happy with a 1-point win.
Is this some kind of bizarro thread that I've ventured into? So the Rutgers fans are calling for a romp by PSU and the PSU fans are hoping for a 1 point win on the Rutgers Rivals site?? WTF has happened to this world??
Here's the thing about this game that will make it tough for Rutgers. PSU's o-line is in sorry shape at the moment due to injuries and that will surely help Rutgers. The problem is that PSU might get 21 pts in this game on kick returns and from the defense, a pick 6 say.

RU can't compete at all vs the top teams in the conference.
No home crowd advantage either this week with my prediction of 65% Pen St fans that could even go up to 70% if Pen St fans buy up the thousands of unsold tickets on scarletknights.com
Teams such as Minny and Indiana were able to hang in there with Penn State.
I think this is the game that ASH will have you guys motivated and inspired.
Also at worst it will be 65 % or more Rutgers fans in the stands.

I understand that Pitt fans would love to see Pen St lose here, but, I really don't see anyway that can happen this week.
Don't forget that McSorley got hurt at Indiana and we won't know his status until warm-ups this coming Saturday. If you recall he didn't keep the ball on a running play once after being hurt unless you call scrambling on a couple of pass plays running. This allowed the IU defense to key on Barkley with no fear of McSorley.
I'm not predicting a Rutgers win but Rutgers will be competitive.
Rutgers needs this game and next weeks game with Maryland as a confidence builder for recruiting and next season.

We could key on Barkley with 11 guys and he would still drag our freshman LB's 5 yds. just like the MSU RB's did last week. You don't need a QB to accomplish that.

Penn State, like MSU have now figured out what Gio does. He tends to send everything to his left including his scrambles and PSU knows which receiver he is going to pass to. PSU might get 5 interceptions. So I think Laviano should play some downs in this game for a change up.
