I agree it will be a close game. Something to look for - is the Ace we saw against PSU going to be that defensive glass cleaner for the rest of the season, or will he revert to an offense first guy taking 16 foot fade away jumpers?

Haven’t seen them play but based on their scores it appears they like to slow it down, that is until they had to play catch-up vs OKSt, to whom they lost, 85-76.

We’ve had 3 common opponents. They beat Wagner and St.Pete but lost to Monmouth. SHU scored in the 50s in all 3 games (RU scored 75, 75, and 98 vs those teams).

Assuming they will try to slow it down and keep the score low, unless Shaheen thinks they can run with us after seeing them score 50 in the 2nd half against OKSt on Sunday.

Lastly, SHU can make threes, so gotta watch that.

Rutgers wins, 82-70.

I think game will be a lot closer than most think.

You can throw away “ common sense predictions” when a rivalry game occurs.

I also think Seton Hall will play with passion and toughness and try to intimidate us. Typical Holloway coaching etc !

I do predict Ogolbe to get into a brouhaha with someone.

I still have PTSD from that horrid 46-42 loss from several years ago!

I take nothing for granted !

No doubt SHU will slow it down, if for no other reason than to keep from getting run over by the crowd. But if we get off to a sizable lead, their sense of urgency will speed things up, especially in the second half.

Ogbole…good call

If Ace keeps concentrating on rebounding, the rest of his game will fall into place without having to think.

Ace reverted back to an offense first guy. SHU got sooo many easy buckets because Ogbole and Somerville couldn't defend the rim. Our NET dropped 7 spots off a WIN. We're in a tough spot. It seems we didn't have enough NIL money to keep Cliff, but without him, Ace is our only rim protector. But does Ace want to showcase his offensive skills for scouts, or does he want Rutgers to win? I know he didn't sign up to be a defender, but that's how we need him.
